RE: The Weather Thread
So dark and rainy here this morning, with some rumbles of thunder, a sound I have not heard for quite a while. Is that a dripping sound from the attic? Oh no, I hope I don’t have a roof leak.Confused

So last night Lori and I went outside to have us a look see at this “Super Moon” we have been hearing so much about on the news. The moon was supposed to be really close and larger appearing than normal. So we looked, and looked, and I don’t know if it was cloud cover or something else, but there was no moon anywhere to be seen.

Later when I was in bed going to sleep Lori got up to look again and saw it, she shouted, “There is the moon now, it’s out!” By that time I was groggy and half asleep so I answered, “Well, does it look any different?”

“No, not really” she says, and then I fell asleep. So that was our Super Moon experience. Anybody else see it?

RE: The Weather Thread
Could not see the Super Moon - although if I had been able you would be seeing pictures. The only way you can really tell is comparing images of other perigee events to last night. Otherwise.....it "looks" the same, but for me I can tell an apogee moon to a perigee only because I have observed the moon so much minute differences tend to stand out. I would have loved to captured a few images, but the moon was hiding behind the clouds. Bummer deal.

Its been storming here all morning. Love the thunderboomers.....and the lightning......and the piddle paddle sounds the rain makes on the ground.

Me too.......Always loved thunder storms, even watching them on TV, especially Caribbean...(there has been a programme on over here about HMS Manchester doing a tour in the Caribbean and chasing bad weather around the islands, and helping out on St Lucia after it was hit).

As DLR says on "Ladies Night in Buffalo", "I wouldnt mind some stormy weather tonight!"

She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker"

The view of the moon last night (from here) was a beautiful view, did I take any pictures ...No forgot too. Oh and RN just talked to my oldest this morning and she said their weather yesterday was sunny and in the 40's, but upon waking up today there was 3 inches of white stuff on the ground.

RE: The Weather Thread
Way up north near Lake Superior, they get snow way into the spring.

It's cloudy and rainy here...or as you would say NWoBHM, grey and rainy.

I like snow......every now and then. Dont like the grey and rainy stuff....gets so boring as we get so much of it.

I suppose it would get boring, but here, it means SPRING!
but there's still the possibility of snow. We've had occaisional snowstorms right into May.

I am all for Spring...and Summer.......and Autumn......Winter is the killer. Tomorrow I am planting (if that is the right term?) my onions - in fairness, Tan has created the bed for me, all I have to do is plant the bulbs in rows. More later on the Gardening channel.......
