You should be fine now Rey. They did this in England back in March, and put everyone on a hosepipe ban...........it has rained every day since. Some people have been saying can I use my hosepipe to syphon the flood out of my house yet?

She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker"

Yes, the rains all missed me yesterday, but I awoke this morning to a wet ground, it must have rained a bit overnight. First time in a long time. I saw a map on the news and they listed my county as a severe drought area. I haven't done any watering though...but I don't have a garden. As far as the weeds in my yard go, let them starve. Angel

If it weren't for my rain barrels, which miraculously still have water in them, my flowers would have shriveled up and died. I won't pay for water for them, just the trees and vegetables, and even the trees were getting rain water!

The Groundhog lied.

RE: The Weather Thread
We were in So Cal a few days last week. On our way home through Williams, AZ, it rained so hard I had to get off the freeway! The wipers were on full blast, but I couldn't see a thing.
This afternoon, there was a HUGE lightening storm. It started pouring. Then came dime-sized hail for a good 10 minutes. I'm afraid to look at my garden....

If I'd known you were French, I'd have worn galoshes...

Holy cow G! That would've been scary! Glad you guys are alright...I hope the garden is too!

We had a nice little downpour today...I was teaching a MSF class and we only had 3 more exercises to go, but there was too much standing water on the range. Large puddles + noobs on bikes = no bueno (and no traction!) We sent the kids home, put everything away, went home ourselves then the sun came out and it was beautiful. Smile Thank you Weather Spirits!

Love and respect...
Turn up the music and smile!

Welcome to the desert southwest during typhoon season, yeah? I remember those storms. Confused

RE: The Weather Thread
I have to say this is my favorite time of year here. I love the monsoons and watching the massive electrical storms blowing over the meadows and the forest. My cat isn't so fond of the thunder, though.....

My brother called me yesterday from Rio Rico, about 5 miles NORTH of the border in Arizona. Said the monsoons coming off the Patagonia Mountains is just beautiful this time of year.....then he said something about rattlesnakes and lost me.

Well, we don't have rattlesnakes here in the mountains, but we have gopher snakes. I'd like them much more if they actually ATE the gophers. One of the snakes was traveling through the yard the other day. My cat didn't know what to do with it. She just followed it and looked confused. The snake didn't seem to mind her. It was pretty funny.
