RE: Photography
In Bubba’s “Far and Away” calendar I was reading the entry for June. A part of the text featured there reads “The decline of these small towns, sadly, is measured in the death of dreams - every time I see a shuttered restaurant, a boarded-up gas station, or an abandoned Main Street store, I imagine it is someone’s dream that failed.”

This writing from Bubba reminded me of a photo I took last year. We were passing through a small town and looking for somewhere to eat. This place would have been perfect, but sadly, it must have fallen on hard times and had been closed down. Although abandoned, deserted, and locked up, this old menu board was still on display in the window:

I think I would of had the Ribeye steak, how about you? Although it is a close toss up between that and the Center Cut Pork Chops, “Two of Iowa’s finest chops.”

Last night, at my other house, on the front porch in the old 'hood (Detroit). I was sitting there grilling when the Ice cream truck went by. IT HAD BARS ON THE WINDOWS. Big Grin / Sad
