I am always looking for little towns like that. They are always the best stopping spots for some reason. Unfortunately last time we went down there my brother was in the hospital in Phoenix near death from a car accident. We never had the time to stop like I wanted. Next trip we promised to make more stops.

You should have seen her eyes when I suggested moving to White River!

White River is in the Apache Indian Reservation!

If I'd known you were French, I'd have worn galoshes...

Thats why her eyes bulged out! I had no idea since I have only been to Arizona once in my life. She loves me....even if I spout off stuff like that from time to time!

Very nice! Nice backdrop too, you must live out in the country.

Thanks! Yes we have 7 acres west of Show Low, AZ (see a certain someone's book!). We're at about 7000 ft in the midst of alpine meadows and Ponderosa forests. Very peaceful!

Nice! Do you have a barn? Every country place needs a barn. Where you can hide things, underneath the old debris...

I like Italian food and Italian roadsters

Yes we have a barn, but it's not the old red type you may be thinking of. It matches the house, has 2 rooms, a woodstove, an oil change pit, a front porch, and it's nearly 1800 sq. ft. It's more of a workshop.

I thought so, although I don`t know of any planes powered by them. Mercedes Benz engines, yes, but not Bavarian Motor Works....(can I get a point for that too???)

I do recall a speech by Churchill after WW1 and close to WW2 where he is asking parliament what they think Germany is doing in Bavaria with separate factories for engines, airframes, etc and he asks The House, "Do they theink they are making Lager Beer, Leder Hosen or Sausages?"

You can see where Tim Curtiss and Ben Elton got their inspiration for Blackadder from.......

The FW-190 A-1 thru A-8 used a BMW rotary engine as well as JU-52's. BMW focused on rotry(radial) engines. That could possibly be why motorcycle engines were air cooled from them, or they copied the Zundapp engine. Had to do a little looking to find this info, had forgotten from my model building days bought it. Big Grin

Currently pursuing individuality.

Cheers SG -I never knew that - oddly enough I was looking at a few YT clips of the FW 190 - A nice looking plane. Cannot beat a Spit or Mustang with a Merlin mind you.

She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker"

That is a cool shot. I like how you caught it in flight.
