RE: Neil Quotes
Thanks for reminding me Boom'

In 1998, after leaving Wichita for home (Savannah) Dawn (my wife) and I had grown so close so quickly, that it really was scary... and now I was leaving. I promised her I would come back, and of course, she blew it off as me being gallant or just BS that you say to people when you are leaving.
Some time later, I wrote this in a letter to her (ya- a real letter). We were married on Savannah Beach in 2000.
She is still my best friend and the most admired person in my life. Great butt too...

"I don't believe in destiny
Or the guiding hand of fate
I don't believe in forever
Or love as a mystical state
I don't believe in the stars or the planets
Or angels watching from above
But I believe there's a ghost of a chance we can find someone to love
And make it last..."

You signed the contract - you must do my bidding

Is it okay to talk about Neil so much on here? I hope he does not get embarrassed by it all. Blush

That being said, I agree 100% with the quote presented above by Scythe Matters. So many times I meet people who seem to be always bored, that just don't seem to be interested in anything, and I feel sorry for those people. Personally I feel I do not have the time for all the things and interests I would like to pursue.

Yes!!! Exactly! I wish I didn't have to sleep - so many things I want to do and "... so much I want to see..."

... in a world where I feel so small I can't stop thinking big!

Awesome lyrics...and very true as well.

She looked at me and rolled those big brown eyes and said, "Oh, I would do it all for you, `cos you`re a Rocker"

RE: Neil Quotes
My husband wanted me to note this. Not necessarily a quote, more like advice. The ATGATT philosophy; all the gear all the time. My husband commutes to work on a motorcycle and he heartily agrees with Bubba (and Brutus & Michael) on this point. It has saved his skin - literally - several times.

That is one I listen to every day, and I think it holds that same endearing affection that I have for Mrs B....but its got a personal touch to it that Mrs B enjoys.

RE: Neil Quotes
Although painful, this is a quote that means alot to me:
" If love remains,
Tho everything is lost,
We will pay the price,
But we will not count the cost." Bravado

Bumped up for the newbies. I wanted to merge the new thread into this one, but wasn't able to, so if you have some favorite Neil quotes, this is where they go.

RE: Neil Quotes
I'm paraphrasing here, and I don't recall which book it's from, quite possibly Ghost Rider, but a line that stuck with me from it was something like:

The difference between being cynical and skeptical is that one is dismissive while the other merely has doubt.

Love it. Smile
