Happy Earth Day!

I wrote this poem for Earth Day, Yahoo sent me an e-mail offering to buy it! Two minutes later they sent another e-mail stating that the first one was a mistake. If that isn't getting your hand slapped while reaching for a cookie, I don't know what is! I digress, here's the poem!

Mother of us all
Cradle of our birth
Unique in our solar system
Our home the Earth
We celebrate your moment
And give thanks for our home
Without you we have nothing,
and are truly alone.
We toast you today
Raise a glass and cheer
That our home Terra
Made it another year
The people now see
The error of our ways
We are truly sorry
It took this long convey
The delicate balance our Earth has survived
Keeps everyone and everything on this planet alive!

I had not heard of "Earth Day" until today....There was a big debate on TV that it cannot be called Easter anymore, and that Easter Eggs should be known as spheres........

Its a funny old world these days......

Yeah, I mean think of all the horror that visions of ... EASTER EGG HUNTING ... could instill in a little curmudgeon.
Not to mention making them dress up in those nice, new clothes.
