Vanilla, Mom to be isn't supposed to have chocolate. I made it fresh yesterday morning, and got many compliments.

Have you ever tried working with fondant? I've always wanted to try - I figure it can't be too different from working with clay.

I haven't done too much with that. Most of the time people prefer buttercream, or a couple of my mother's frosting recipes.
I know the Mom to be has made fondant icing though. She has a knack for decorating cakes too.

Hi Nettie, great cakes! if you don't mind I'd like to "hang with you" here in cake decorating land a bit. I do fondant and other creative cakes as a hobby, I'd really like to try pulled and blown sugar works, but have yet to venture there. I will post occasionally some of the cakes I've done over the years But I will have to start by figuring out how to attach the photo, :0)
