Spinach Tarts
Tried a new recipe today.....

http://www.delish.com/recipefinder/phyll...panakopita

I think I have said before that I am trying to do no-wheat, so instead of the phyllo sheets I used the crust recipe I use for the Mushroom tarts (also posted in this catagory).

Very good, thumbs up from me, definately!

If you'd like to see the result....

RE: Spinach Tarts
Your timing on this just happens to work out perfectly.

Last night me and milady were discussing the details in getting a gathering of friends & family to her place as a pre-summer launch, and one thing mentioned was that spinach and artichoke dip that's usually served with a rich pumpernickel bread. Spinach tarts sounds like it might be a good variant. Thanks for the tip!

I shared this with the people over at The Rush Forum. Someone was looking for spinach recipes.

RE: Spinach Tarts
OK gonna revive this thread, 'cause I need HELP!

Going to a par-tay Fri night. Need a recipe for a finger food to wow the masses. I was thinkin' some kinda mini puff pastry w/a savory filling....golly, a spinach-themed flavor would be fab-o! But knowing me, I will prep food absolutely last minute, so I need sumpin' quick!

Anyone have an easy peasy go-to recipe? A filling (doesn't have to be spinach....artichoke? Cheesy bacon? Veggie? Anything?) that can be whipped up and piped into shells? While the above recipe sounds absolutely delish, it looks like a lot of work!

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Blah blah blah....yada yada yada!

RE: Spinach Tarts
You want easy? Fillo cups filled with chicken salad.
Buy the prepared cups, bake them off and cool. Fill with salad.
Put a little parsley sprig, olive slice, or piece of red pepper on top for color.
Done.
