Friday the 13th calls out to bikers

Every Friday the 13th, the sleepy town of Port Dover, Ontario, becomes the biggest single-day motorcycling event in the world. It's about a 90-minute ride from where I live, so my brother and I took in the sights.

An article in a local newspaper waxes poetic about the love and culture of the motorcyclist fraternity:

The next Friday the 13th is January 2012, not too likely I'll be attending that but the following one in April is likely to be my next trip to Port Dover.

If you ride, don't miss it. And if you don't ride, don't miss it anyway.

And here I was always told Sturgis, SD was the center of Biker Heaven! I'll have to look at that date on my calendar. Although Friday the 13th is usually a good day for me!
