RE: The Military in Our Thoughts!
Just saw on Facebook a friend who was counting the DAYS till his retirement (Granted he's counting in triple digits, but still!) from the Air Force is going to be deployed to Afganistan.
He's working on finishing his 20 years.
I know its his job, but you'd wish...
(sigh)
I don't know, what would you wish?
That it wasn't nessasary? Yes, absolutely.
That nobody had to do it ever again? Right with you there.

And if wishes were horses, beggars would ride....

"Life ain't like books.
Books got somebody writin' 'em and tryin' to entertain ya.
Life is more like a set of Legos.
Unless you take care of 'em, you lose a few pieces and you end up steppin' on 'em with bare feet.
You gotta take care of your life."

RE: The Military in Our Thoughts!
Did a Welcome Home today with the Patriot Guard for a National Guard unit I escorted to deployment last year. At least these guys got home ok. When our clan of Patriot Guard Riders walked into the gym we got a standing O. Not really sure why - felt really wierd too, but good. Thought about GW's son during the Welcome Home and hope he is well.

Welcome Home Video

Hope that works.

Also - have a military funeral here in town this weekend - SFC Terryl L. Pasker, and will be riding in support of this event, with the funeral itself coming Monday.

For You Steve & Monica - Your Love will forever shine on in our hearts!!!

Very cool Boomer

Most of us are so caught up in life that we forget to live it.

Thanks, Boomer! God bless the PGR's!

Haven't heard from Jordan yet. They flew to Germany, then they're going to one of the "Stans" for a day or so. From there, to Camp Dwyer or Camp Leatherneck for a week or so, then to a forward operating base.

RE: The Military in Our Thoughts!
Boomer, thank you for being a Patriot Guard! Awesome...

Thought and prayers to the families of and the loved ones in harms way. I haven't had the opportunity to partake in this "war", but I've been there done that with the Desert Storm clean up, the Kosovo conflicts, etc. The kids today are going through some stuff that I had hoped we'd never see again after WWII. God give them strength...

Love and respect...
Turn up the music and smile!

RE: The Military in Our Thoughts!
I wanted to honor my brother-in-law, now retired, for his 2 tours in South Korea. I also want to honor the police officer who pulled me over 16 months ago, Lowell Police Officer Patrick "PJ" Johnson. He was an Iraqi war veteran and a decorated Police Officer. He was tragically killed by a drunk driver in an off duty accident while on his motorcycle. He left behind a young wife and 2 young children.

I jumped the cliff with a dream to fly
