20+ Ways to Easily Clean Pots and Pans
By total chance I came across this website yesterday which outlines over 20 ways to clean pots & pans.

I haven't tried any of these ideas yet but I'm going to next time I end up with a mess of messy pots & pans.

A lot of good ideas there. However, I may have to pass on trying pantyhose to scrub the pots with. My husby would probably stop eating anything I cooked in those pots after that, lol.

Pantyhose? They still make those? Big Grin

I've used the oven cleaner on glass pans, and cast iron skillets to remove the old seasoning, and it works great. The ketchup trick was new to me!

Thanks, OHR! Cool reminder of all those old tricks Grandma used to use.

I've used denture cleaner tabs, but to clean jewelry. Works really well, just place a tab in a glass bowl and put the jewelry in for 1/2 hour. Then rinse.

Yep, and they also remove hard water rings from vases. Drop in the tab, fill with hot water, and wait until the blue fades to clear. Done!

Some interesting tips! I've tried a couple of these. I wouldn't recommend the aluminum foil - it scratched my pan. Cream of tartar works well on stainless (yeah right!) steel sinks.

I've used liquid dishwasher soap (used for the machine, not hand Smile) and added a bit of hot water. I allow it to set for awhile or even overnight if the pans are really bad.
