RE: Tanks, Planes, Boats, Military Stuff
Yes, it was a very nice bike. It belonged to another reenactor at the event, and he was kind enough let me get the picture, but I have ridden on this bike before. And if I were to get a motorcycle, this is definitely the kind I would want, but I tend to gravitate towards the old, interesting, and unusual.

Meanwhile here are some more pictures for you, ones very appropriate for the title of this thread: Here I am standing in the commander’s position on the German Tiger Tank. This is the actual movie tank used in Saving Private Ryan and the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. This tank was used in the “sticky bomb” scenes and others in Saving Private Ryan. This tank belongs to another member in my group and was purchased from the movie production company. It was built as a prop for the movie so is not a real Tiger (they are very rare), but is a replica built on a Russian T-34 tank chassis, and is at about 3/4 scale in size to the Tiger. This tank has sheet metal built over the T-34 to give it the Tiger appearance, but is still fully armored underneath, and could still take a hit. The tank runs and drives, and we used it during the main battles of this event. The main gun is now gas fired and it does shoot. ![]()
