Did any one see the recent special on the double sized sub designed to carry three suicide bomber planes to hit the west and east coast cities during WWII? That was something that I had not known. The sub was surrendered to the U.S. at sea and was towed to Pearl Harbor where it was dissected, documented and eventually sunk somewhere off the coast. The technology from that sub was later incorporated into the first nuclear subs with launching capabilities.
