As far as the crowd goes we always tell them it is a replica if they ask. We always tell them it was a prop for a movie. A real Tiger is very rare and valuable and there are not many left at all, yet alone one that runs. It was built by the movie company to use for filming "Saving Private Ryan", also used in "Band of Brothers", and yes it is based on a Russian tank. We figure if it was good enough for the movie, its good enough for these reenactments. It is smaller than the real thing though, but still a nice looking tank to have for the battles.

I do remember that Tiger replica from Saving Private Ryan...it took me more than a couple of viewings to figure out it was a replica. A real Tiger is VERY rare, I know of the one in the Paris Museum that runs, other than that, I don't know of any. If I remember correctly, didn't they weigh in somewhere around 60 tons? MASSIVE!
