No matter what the thread, no matter what the topic, we can get soooooo far away from the original idea, it makes you wonder what we were talking about to begin with!
Big GrinTongueBig GrinWink

Oh now I don't know... we stay pretty well...
wait... what were we talking about???

What was the original idea again?

What I'd like to know is which one is holding the chain? LOL!!

"Foods we can't stand" turned into "What are you wearing for Halloween this year?"
By the way, those are Boomer and Mufasa "help me get away from the organ meat" outfits.

LOL!!!
P.S. I do love the outfits, any organ meat seeing that would run far, far away!Tongue

I see Nettie started this thread, so I don't feel so bad....Hyjacking a thread from one of the new guys could hurt their feelings after all!Blush

I think that nearly every thread in this forum has veered way off topic at least once, LOL!

RE: Foods we can't stand ...
When I was a kid my mother made "fish-head soup." I don't know if I'd like it now, but then I can remember my cousin and me refusing to eat it. It was so gross. The concept alone....to a kid.

I wasn't particularly fond of my mother's liver with bacon and ketchup (not literally my mother's liver). It was all stringy and pastey, yuck! I later had a short order cook friend of mine (this guy was the stereotype) make me calves liver with onions. It happened to be surprisingly good.

RE: Foods we can't stand ...
Vince, you mentioning fish head soup, made me think of a delicacy (NOT) called Star Gazey Pie.

It is unique to a small fishing village called Mousehole in Cornwall, (a most beautiful place as you could imagine), where there is a story about the Mousehole Cat, who fought the Storm Cat, which prevented the sailors fishing (because of the Storm), and caught the fish to feed the village - hence I suppose Star Gazey Pie - pic for you - yum yum.

The villagers 13 or about (all volunteers - including the pub landlord), launched the lifeboat to save a ship (I think) in the 70`s, all were lost at sea - 13 families lost their men.
