RE: Meet "Betty"!
I like cars. Actuallu I love cars from exotics to customs to original stock oldies. Its a nice car....but its a lot like looking at Selma Hayek....unless you can afford it whats the use.

RE: Meet "Betty"!
Sweet, N'awlins, and howdy from Portland (OR)! Gotta like a guy who appreciates a Jaguar. I had a '91 XJS V12 for about 8 years. That car tore it up: snow, ice, whatever the conditions. I had it up to 120 mph a couple times, out in the boonies on flat, new pavement. Could not resist...I miss that car...None of my guy friends liked her until they drove her. "Chick car" they said!
I bet that's one of the few in Spokane

RE: Meet "Betty"!
Thanks EN! The wife had been bugging me for a couple of years now about how she missed her Jaguar (also an XJS V12) and if she could ever find another one, yadda' yadda...So I found this one after about 6 months of intensive searchin', right year, right previous owner, and most important, right price! (about 3K less than a new Harley 883 Sportster! (chick bike!)lol!)
So we're pretty stoked about it, never thought I'd own one but I'm glad I jumped on it! I was always an old Mopar fan, Dad had a '73 Charger, red, that I thought I'd be able to get from him one day, ended up with the '90 Volvo 240DL with 326K miles on it instead! (still got it too, runs great!) We're talking about a trip to the coast in it before it gets snowy, and Billie doesn't want to go toward Seattle, so maybe we'll pass by and honk?! Of course we'd have to stop by for a minute and try out that Potato Leek Soup with loads of bacon!!! "Rollin' numbers, rock-n-rollin', got my Kiss records out!" |

RE: Meet "Betty"!
Yep, what Billie said! I've had a couple other fast cars in my lifetime (I switch between "elegant but sporty" and "will haul anything through anything") and the V12 is the only one that really stole my heart, even with no cupholder and three ashtrays! LOL Seriously, who's smoking in the back seat of an XJS? There's only enough room back there for the spoils of a decent shopping spree!
Most def give me a holler if you're passing through town! I may run out of that soup, but we can surely go to Voodoo and introduce you to Portland's finest use of bacon: the bacon maple bar is legendary with good reason

RE: Meet "Betty"!
Hellooo Betty! Nice ride for sure. Just chomping on the bit for a road trip too, good call on that. She looks like she has a taste for the curvy climbs.
Congratz! Oh Bleat! |
