RE: The April Brewhaha thread
(04-18-2012 04:19 PM)Nawlins Wrote: Hey Folks! I just had a thought (be nice!) about the upcoming meet up...wouldn't it be possible for one of the admins who'll be in attendance to bring along a laptop and setup a live video chat room with Skype (no relation!) or some other video teleconferencing site? That way, even those of us who are unable to make it would be able to check in, say "Hi", and introduce each other face to face! Hell, we could even get NWO and any other cross-the-ponder's on too, along with any other B&G 'celebs' that may happen to show up that are scattered hither and yon! Sayin'...! Brilliant idea! I use Skype a lot, and I have it installed on both my desktop and netbook. The conference calls I organize professionally are voice-only, as video group calls want money, but even a group voice chat would be awesome. eta: I've poked around Skype, and we could actually do this for free as a one-off (you can get a seven-day free trial) if we organized ourselves properly. Only one of us would need to sign up at a time for the free trial, so we could potentially stretch it out if we wanted to do it on a regular but infrequent basis. It's supposed to be do-able for up to ten people, but is recommended for only five. Thoughts? One-to-one is free though.... ---- I'm not one to believe in magic, but I sometimes have a second-sight.... |
