RE: RIP Freddie
Sad to hear of the passing of Freddie Gruber. I got to know him through the writings of Neil Peart and growing up as an early drummer with the knowledge of him. I had the pleasure of speaking with him through an associate and looked forward to it each time. He has always had a special place in my life’s thinking. You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Freddie!

RE: RIP Freddie
I have an old (1968) Ludwig Drummer magazine and ran across this pic of Freddie-2nd from left at the top. It's an ad for Paiste 602 cymbals and drummers who used them. Time machine, eh?

RE: RIP Freddie
What a sensational teacher, drummer and human being. It's a fine tribute to the man to leave behind so many excellent drummers to carry on the wonderful lessons Freddie taught.
Condolences to his friends, family and admirers. Oh Bleat! |
