I eat relatively healthy, but as Scythe and VU said, it's the "doing things sitting down" that gets you. In the early '90's, I raced bikes and was the smallest and in the best cardio shape I've been. In the early 2000's, I went to the gym 2-3X/week and kept the cardio going and was the strongest I've been. After being retired for 2 1/2 years, I am appalled at what has happened to me.
I also do a lot of eBay and jewelry making and sewing. I have free weights in a closet Sad My only cardio is playing "tag" with my kitty Rolleyes Must. Get. Moving.

If I'd known you were French, I'd have worn galoshes...
