Love Food But Need To Lose Weight

RE: Love Food But Need To Lose Weight
So I have been eating a lot of oatmeal lately to help shed a little weight (those dang holidays you know).

I like to use the instant variety that comes in the little packages, because they taste pretty good, are quick and easy to make, and you know exactly how many calories you are getting. It all adds up you know.

So I have been trying all the different flavors. Quaker, the most common brand, has a lot of flavors but has seems to have discontinued Cinnamon Roll, one that I liked. Thats okay though, I found the Cinnamon Roll flavor made by some of the generic brands.

I like a big breakfast so I usually make two packets at once in one bowl to help fill me up. This has led to some interesting combinations as I like to try mixing the flavors.

Quaker makes a Raisins & Spice flavor, but I find this tasted odd with just spice, shouldn't it have some cinnamon too? So I mixed a Cinnamon Roll packet with the Raisins & Spice, and the result was pretty good, I call it Raisin Roll.

Then I mixed an Apples & Cinnamon packet with a Cinnamon Roll packet. That was good too, I call that one Apple Fritter. Angel

Another brand I have just recently discovered that makes instant oatmeal is "BetterOats". I was looking for a blueberry so I tried their "Mmm...Muffins Blueberry". Let me tell you...that one is really, really, good. I can't wait to try some of their other flavors too. They have a Maple Streusel Muffin flavor also, and even offer a chocolate. Rolleyes Not sure about chocolate oatmeal but might give it a try, why not? All the flavors seem to have the same calories so far.

See, who says losing a few pounds can't be fun?

I like Italian food and Italian roadsters
