Ha ha, I kind of got the same impression. The all caps, the reassurances over and over she is like a sister, sounds to me like you are really trying to convince yourself. Smells like trouble to me (and sometimes trouble smells pretty good, like perfume). Ive never heard of Rosetta Stone causing any trouble for marriages. I've used Rosetta Stone myself for French, its not bad.
But on the other hand, would using a computer program deprive someone of needed income for language lessons, just because she happens to not look like an older big burly Russian woman who wears a babushka and eats lots of potatoes? Is that fair? I suppose the real answer lies only within yourself. But for opinions, I would have to go with the others, if you both go together to get the personal lessons, then yes, otherwise use the cold computer program. Actually the woman's voice on the computer program is kind of sensual, better be careful there too.
