The only advice l can give is this...do NOT orser a black and tan at any pub. There is a news story explaining this, Nike got in a bit of trouble for calling a new shoe they are releasing the Black & Tan. This is also the name of an English military unit that was responsible for harassing/arresting/attacking Irish during the 1920`s uprising for Irish independence. I don`t know how serious thye are about it in the South, but I`m sure its a bit of a sore spot just the same. Other than that...have a GREAT time.

I'm not one to mix my beers, but I have had an Irish Car Bomb in Colorado Springs. Probably fairly safe to have one there.
Haven't had a Boilermaker.

I just can't chug, and I think both those drinks sorta require it.

If you have time, try and track down any of the books by Tim Robinson. An excellent writer about the west coast there.
