Greetings from the outskirts of Portland, OR
Gresham, to be exact. East coast transplant (originally from Virginia). ...and yes, I'm a fan of the show "Portlandia" on IFC (We can pickle that! LOL)

Fan since MP/ESL. I'm a also a racquetball player, bowler and a hack golfer. I'm a "fair weather" rider but I hope to cruise across the U.S. someday. The ride from Portland to the Gorge Amphitheater is no doubt my favorite run thus far.

As far as cuisine goes, my favorite kitchen tool is probably my crock pot. I also dabble in the occasional brewing of ale... much to the wife's dismay.

Peace to all and a big shout out to Bubba! Cool

Welcome to the zoo, VStarRider! Most of us are OK, but keep your distance with a few folks here Tongue

If I'd known you were French, I'd have worn galoshes...

Welcome! What part of The Old Dominion do you hail from? I spent five years living in Falls Church, and travelled a fair bit around the state. Lovely place, especially up along the Blue Ridge....

I grew up in the Tidewater area (Navy brat). We lived in Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Suffolk. When I was on active duty myself I lived in Va. Beach. I've never been to Falls Church but I have a good friend who lives there.

Visited Norfolk a few times, and even took the tunnel over to the Delmarva. Would have like to get down to the Tidewater more, but seemed to go north more than south.... ;-)
