Weird, I could see that you'd made a post by the preview, but in the thread I can't see the post at all. Had to go to your profile to get the text of it, because even clicking on it from there just took me to the first post in the thread.

"chalk hearts melting on a playground wall"
No idea.... Hint?
UK, prog, and opened for the boys many years ago...(which I never realized until fairly recently, but that would be a concert I'd give a lot to be able to go back in time and see, now...)
Surrendered & Googled

I like this a lot!
Marillion?

Ding, ding! Yes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuN2PyQYiTc

I actually thought of them when trying to go by the original premise of one or two words - what I wanted to use was either Banquo or first-footer (or 15-stone first-footer) from 'Uninvited Guest', but I figured that would be way too obscure for anyone not from the UK (and maybe even for many from there also). 'Kayleigh' at least did break into the charts in the US at the time.

I've always loved that song!
and distinctly remember them opening for Rush.

o.k., how about this one, should be fairly easy..

"walking on your hands"
No way! I thought of Marillion when I first read that too...well done Nettie! Smile I love that band...so cheesy, but yet still so awesome!

The clue really helped, otherwise I would have been stumped, as usual.
I usually skipped the opening act when I saw the boys,or got there late enough to catch the end of the set, but not for that tour!
