Samhain!
One of my favorite times of the year...

Lovecraft, Machen, Blackwood, Irving...glowing galleon moon...desiccated, mephitic foliage quaking in the midnight breeze, as the rattle of a final breath.

This was last years creation...post yours!

*edit*
Better pic imo

RE: Samhain!
Don't forget to remember all those we've lost. Yeah, it's a downer but it's part of what Samhain is.

This was one of the ones I did last year:

For those who are of that belief have a Blessed Samhain.

RE: Samhain!
Thank you 2B Smile

These are some quotes I used in this year's post:

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love. ~~ Washington Irving

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~~ Kahlil Gibran

Let no one weep for me, or celebrate my funeral with mourning; for I still live, as I pass to and fro through the mouths of men. ~~ Quintus Ennius

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others;
to leave the world a bit better
whether by a healthy child, a garden patch,
or a redeemed social condition;
to know even one life has breathed easier because
you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
~~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
