How to commute on the Washington State ferries
So we live across Puget Sound from Seattle. I work at the local PBS station, and that requires me to get across the sound on a daily basis. Here’s how I do it. 93 Honda VFR 750 (my sixth bike).

Riding is the only economical way (and it’s fun… most times). We scoter trash are loaded first, always make the boat, and are the first off usually. It costs me $84.80 every two weeks for my little 20 ride card (for a car it’s $194.40)
Here we are, waiting to go home.

The ride I take from Bremerton to Seattle take 55 minutes so I have some time for other activities. I learned to play guitar on the boat about 15 years ago, but I’m really a keyboard player, so I’ve been looking for a keyboard that I could take along. First it was one of those “roll up” types but the feel of it was very unsatisfying. I found a Yamaha EZ 20 on Craig’s List for $15, and it seems to do the trick. And if it comes of the back and turns into a spray of plastic I won’t be heartbroken.
This is my normal booth all set up. I’m currently learning “Take Five”. Takes me about 3 minutes to set up and about 5 to pack.

Sometimes the scenery is quite nice

Here we’re waiting to get off

I’ll take a video of the ride down the road Scythe and I live on someday soon.

Sure, but it'll have to wait a week or so.
